Bryan Mbeumo continued his electric start to life at Manchester United scoring twice in 4-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion that stretched the Red Devils winning run to three Premier League matches.
It was high tempo performance from Ruben Amorim’s side who raced into 3-0 lead by the hour mark before surviving late scare.
Matheus Cunha opened the scoring in the 24 minute , his 1st goal for the club curling beautifully past Bart Verbruggen after slick one - two with Casemiro . 10 minute later Casemiro turned scorer himself, his deflected strike doubling United’s advantage.
Mbeumo already fan favourite added the 1rd on 61 minute timing his run perfectly to meet Bruno Fernandes through ball and firing low past Verbruggen.
Yet Brighton refused to fold. Danny Welbeck facing his former club, bent in superb free kick in the 74 minute before Charalampos Kostoulas made it 3-2 deep into stoppage time with glancing header.
But Mbeumo had the final word. In the 96 minute, the Cameroonian pounced on another Fernandes pass and thundered shot off the bar and in , his 5th goal in 10 game sealing United’s third consecutive league victory and temporary move into 4th place.
