Chelsea outcast Raheem Sterling is one of five Premier League players who still earns more than Alexander Isak , following his record-breaking £125million transfer to Liverpool .
The 25-year-old's move from Newcastle United to the Reds, which makes him the most expensive player in British football history, was confirmed on Monday.
The official announcement came after the 7pm deadline, with Isak completing his medical and media duties before jetting off for international duty with Sweden.
Already one of Newcastle's top earners, reportedly raking in £120,000 a week, Isak has seen a significant pay rise at his new club.
As reported by The Guardian , Isak has signed a six-year deal worth an eye-watering £300,000 a week. However, even this colossal figure is overshadowed by Haaland's earnings.
The Norwegian superstar inked a nine-and-a-half-year contract back in January, tying him to the Etihad until summer 2034. Despite only being at City for two-and-a-half years at the time, his contract was set to expire at the end of the 2026/27 season.
His impressive performances, which have helped City secure two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, the Champions League and a Super Cup, earned him a staggering weekly salary of £500,000, reports the Mirror .
Whilst Isak's wages fall considerably short of Haaland's earnings, only four other Premier League players command higher salaries than him. Two of those are his new colleagues, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, whilst the remaining pair consists of Manchester United's Casemiro and Sterling.

The 30-year-old was one of several Chelsea players told they have no future at the club by Enzo Maresca but the ex-England international was unable to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge before the deadline.
Isak's new wage package also matches that of Bernardo Silva and Bruno Fernandes. Although the Sweden international must wait a fortnight to potentially make his Reds bow, he expressed his enthusiasm about beginning life on Merseyside.
"I feel amazing," said Liverpool's new No. 9. "It's been a long journey to get here. But I'm super-happy to be a part of this team, this club and everything it stands for. It's something I'm proud of and I'm really looking forward to it.
"I'm just happy it's done and that I can get back to work. I'm looking forward to seeing my team-mates and the fans, and getting back out there. I think I have a lot to give, I think I have a lot to improve.

"I'm a striker but I always want to give as much as possible to the team, mainly goals but much more than that as well. I want to win everything. Yeah, [as simple as that]."
Isak was close to being joined by Marc Guehi on deadline day, but the Crystal Palace skipper's move to Anfield fell apart at the last minute . Despite undergoing a medical in London following a £35m agreement between the two clubs, Palace called off the transfer after Igor Julio decided against a move to south London, opting instead for a loan spell with West Ham from Brighton.
Guehi, 25, had 11th-hour discussions with Palace manager Oliver Glasner, but his determination to retain the England defender prevailed, and the club ultimately backed out of the deal.
