'My client has been linked with Arsenal – another transfer will soon be inevitable'

Brentford star Michael Kayode did little to dampen the excitement around him in the Bees' victory over Liverpool on Saturday night. The Italian facilitated Brentford's first goal in the 3-2 win with one of his trademark throw-ins, and his agent now believes a move to one of Europe's elite clubs is "inevitable."

Kayode, 21, initially joined Brentford on loan at the start of the year. He then signed a five-year deal in the summer, joining from Serie A giants Fiorentina.

The full-back's promising performances have already caught the eye of a host of clubs , including Arsenal , according to reports in the Italian press. Kayode’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli, has since claimed that it's only a matter of time before he is a wanted man.

Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb , Kayode's agent addressed the hype around his client. The youngster also picked up man of the match against Liverpool and Vigorelli said, although it's early days, he does have high hopes for the ex-Fiorentina star.

“We are very happy because he is growing game by game," Vigorelli said. "The Premier League is a very physical league, it seems custom-made for him and Michael is proving he fits in perfectly.

“It is still very early. Let’s enjoy this great moment he is having, but it is inevitable that if he continues with this trend, something important will arrive for him.”

The comments come after the head of scouting at the player's agency, Andrea Ritorni, also said Kayode was destined for great things.

“He’s doing really well and is now finding his best physical condition,” Ritorni also told TuttoMercatoWeb . “He’s improving a lot with the ball and has earned the trust of both Thomas Frank and Keith Andrews.

"He's now finding his best physical condition, and he's cleaning up his ball control. He arrived in January and made 12 appearances under Thomas Frank, a great coach. Under Keith Andrews, he also immediately got a lot of playing time, starting seven out of seven games.

“In the future, I can see him taking another step up to a top club. That’s not to say Brentford isn’t one — but I see him going even higher."

However, he also discussed areas of the game his client needs to improve on after watching Kayode's performance in Brentford's 1-0 home defeat to Manchester City prior to the international break. Ritorni said: "He marked really well against Manchester City, but he still needs to improve his first touch and his physicality."

Speaking ahead of Brentford's win over Liverpool, Kayode revealed his footballing idols, suggesting that he has high ambitions. Kayode namechecked former Brazilian defender Cafu, a two-time World Cup winner.

However, he also had time for some recent Premier League full-backs. "I can’t say [I am] similar, but I love a player like Kyle Walker and also I really like Aaron Wan-Bissaka," he said, adding: "But I think my favourite right-back is Cafu."
