Fiorentina Hit Woodwork in 0-0 Stalemate vs Forest

Fiorentina had arguably the best scoring opportunities in their 0-0 friendly draw with Nottingham Forest , as Dodo hit the crossbar.

The Viola continued their pre-season tour of the UK after a 2-0 defeat to Leicester City , but Stefano Pioli fielded a much stronger starting XI in Nottingham.

There was a nice gesture before kick-off when former Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic was presented with a jersey by his old club.

David De Gea needed an early save to deny former Bologna winger Dan Ndoye , who was making his Nottingham Forest debut.

Cher Ndour tested the opposition goalkeeper too on a corner, while there was a big double chance when Moise Kean forced a desperate save and Dodo turned the rebound onto the crossbar.

Pioli’s men moved between a 3-4-1-2 and 3-4-2-1 formation during the match, and had a big chance to win it late on with Matz Sels needing a great save to keep out Braschi’s header.
