Nottingham Forest vs West Ham Premier League prediction, odds and betting offer

Nottingham Forest have made a promising start to their Premier League campaign, collecting four points from their opening two fixtures. The Reds kicked off the season with a convincing 3-1 victory over Brentford, followed by a 1-1 draw away at Crystal Palace. Forest will feel they could have taken all three points at Selhurst Park, with substitute Igor Jesus striking the woodwork late on and Omari Hutchinson missing a golden opportunity in stoppage time.
Despite that frustration, Forest will be confident of getting back to winning ways as they host a struggling West Ham side. Last season, Forest were formidable at home, boasting the 7th best home record in the league and conceding just 16 goals in 19 games. After an impressive campaign that saw them secure European football, Forest are aiming to build on that success. Their summer transfer window has been productive, bringing in the likes of Dan Ndoye, Omari Hutchinson, Arnaud Kalimuendo, and James McAtee, though not everything has gone smoothly behind the scenes.
In contrast, West Ham are enduring a difficult spell. Many Hammers fans were already skeptical about Graham Potter’s appointment after a string of uninspiring displays last season, and things have only worsened despite a full pre-season under his leadership. West Ham suffered a 3-0 defeat to Sunderland on the opening weekend, followed by a heavy 1-5 loss to Chelsea, and were knocked out of the EFL Cup after a 3-2 defeat to Wolves in midweek. The latter result sparked a heated confrontation on the pitch between Jarrod Bowen and a section of the West Ham supporters, underlining the mounting tensions at the club.
The Hammers have looked short on quality and athleticism, particularly in midfield, and face a Forest side against whom they have a poor recent record, losing each of the last three meetings. Matches between these teams tend to be high-scoring, with over 2.5 goals in four of the last five encounters, but West Ham will need a significant turnaround to avoid further disappointment at the City Ground. All signs point to another tough afternoon for the visitors.
