England XI vs Serbia: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for World Cup qualifier today

Marc Guehi has shaken off a knock and starts in Belgrade

Marc Guehi has shaken off an injury to start England ’s latest World Cup 2026 qualifier against Serbia tonight.

The Crystal Palace centre-back complained of a groin problem at half-time of Saturday’s 2-0 win over Andorra, but played on until the 76th minute before being replaced Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa.

Tuchel said after the game it was a substitution he had hoped not to make, with captain Harry Kane instead the planned change in the second half.

Guehi appears to have suffered no adverse effects as he joined the rest of the squad for training on Monday morning, before the group boarded their flight to Belgrade.

Fellow centre-back John Stones was expected to feature in both matches this month but had to withdraw from the squad on Friday morning due to a muscular problem . Jarrell Quansah, a late call-up, remains uncapped.

At left-back, Tuchel chooses Tino Livramento over the uncapped Djed Spence of Tottenham. Tuchel can only name 23 men in the squad for the match and decided on Tuesday morning to omit Myles Lewis-Skelly as the 24th man.

Meanwhile, Reece James is in good favour with the manager and keeps his spot on the opposite flank.

Anthony Gordon comes into the starting lineup after replacing the underwhelming Marcus Rashford off the bench at the weekend, while Eberechi Eze makes way for Morgan Rogers for the starting berth at No10. Noni Madueke starts back-to-back games.
