Arsenal await Chelsea 74 FA charges ramifications with Mikel Arteta stance to come

Arsenal will await the ramifications of the developing story that Chelsea have been hit with 74 charges by the Football Association. These charges differ from those faced by Manchester City, which relate to financial breaches. Instead, these charges relate, broadly, to agents, intermediaries, and third-party investment in players.
A statement released by the FA reads: "The Football Association has today charged Chelsea FC with breaches of Regulations J1 and C2 of The FA Football Agents Regulations, Regulations A2 and A3 of The FA Regulations on Working with Intermediaries, and Regulations A1 and B3 of The FA Third Party Investment in Players Regulations.
" In total, 74 charges have been brought against Chelsea FC . The conduct that is the subject of the charges ranges from 2009 to 2022 and primarily relates to events which occurred between the 2010/11 to 2015/16 playing seasons."
The Daily Mail reports that sporting sanctions such as transfer bans and points deductions are available to the FA. However, they further raised the point that the club raised the issue at the earliest possible opportunity following the takeover by BlueCo.
Chelsea have until September 19 to respond to the charges. A separate Premier League investigation is ongoing.
Arsenal, among other Premier League clubs, have been waiting for the conclusion of the case regarding Manchester City for some time. Now they have another title rival embroiled in a situation that could see them punished.
As is the case with the Man City situation, there is no sign of what the punishment will be at this point. Mikel Arteta will face the press on Friday ahead of the match with Nottingham Forest and is likely to be asked about the subject.
When asked in May 2024 about the charges relating to Manchester City he replied: "That's something for the authorities to manage, it's not for us. If they are playing, it means they can play and they are entitled to play, and that's it."
