Video: Scott McTominay partying in Italy, throwing doubt over transfer rumours

Former Manchester United player Scott McTominay has been at the centre of a wave of transfer rumours as of late, although a new video seems to have shed light on the truth behind such reports.

Since leaving Man United last year, McTominay has shone at Napoli, becoming a crucial part of the club’s success almost from the moment that he arrived in Italy.

The Scottish midfielder won the coveted Serie A MVP award for his efforts as he lifted Napoli to the league title.

What’s more, he was even shortlisted for the 2025 Ballon d’Or , with world football noticing his important contributions.

Still, rumours have been swirling around of his potential departure from Naples due to certain issues off the pitch.

A recent report claimed that McTominay is struggling to cope with his newfound fame in Italy, which is making his everyday life difficult.

Yesterday, The Peoples Person relayed that Barcelona have taken an interest in McTominay, while Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United both look to tempt the Scot with a return to the Premier League.

Despite such prolific links, all might not be as it seems when it comes to McTominay’s personal happiness, with a new video potentially disproving rumours around his personal struggles.

An X post by UtdDefence showed McTominay as the centre of attention at an Italian party, where he was happily dancing with an elderly man while the crowd applauded in adoration.

“Cigar in hand. Smoke bellowing nostrils. Hair brushed back. Fresh tomatoes in his yard. Old grandads & grandmas swaying in his arms on the dancefloor & all of Naples his loyal gang members. What can England offer him in comparison?” the X post read.

“The post itself responded to a previous X post by The Touchline, which read: Scott McTominay is contemplating a Premier League return after not liking daily life at Naples. — TheSun.”

While there is no guarantee that McTominay will remain at Napoli in the future, this video certainly casts doubt over the conflicting messages that have been sent by the media in recent days.
