Unai Emery delivers triple injury update as Aston Villa without four players for Liverpool clash

Unai Emery has confirmed that Emi Buendia will be absent from Aston Villa's upcoming match against Liverpool , but could potentially return to action as early as next week. The 28-year-old sustained a foot injury during the first half of Villa's 1-0 victory over Manchester City last weekend.
In the 19th minute, Buendia set up Matty Cash's goal - the only goal of the game - before being substituted due to his injury shortly after.
After signalling for medical help, Buendia limped off the field and into the tunnel, with Jadon Sancho stepping in as his replacement.
Harvey Elliott, who was not included in the squad for the Manchester City match, will also be absent from the game against Liverpool, as he is ineligible to play against his parent club.
Andres Garcia and Youri Tielemans will continue to be unavailable for this weekend's trip to Anfield, although Tielemans is anticipated to resume full training next week.
When questioned about Buendia, Emery stated: "He is not available for tomorrow, but the injury is going well. I think with a few days more, he can be fit and available for the next match, hopefully.
"The same players are out," Emery added. "Youri Tielemans will hopefully train next week, and Andres is getting better, but still some weeks to come back."
Villa are aiming for their fifth consecutive Premier League victory this weekend against a Liverpool team that have suffered six losses in their last seven matches across all competitions.
However, Villa have only managed to secure one win in their last 15 Premier League encounters with Liverpool - a surprising 7-2 triumph at Villa Park in October 2020.
Additionally, Villa have only celebrated one victory in 30 Premier League away matches against the reigning champions, defeating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford in December 2009.
