TNT Sports commentator Mike Minay was forced to issue an apology during the FA Cup first round encounter between Gainsborough Trinity and Accrington Stanley. The Northern Premier League side and their Football League opponents couldn't be separated after 90 minutes as they battled for a place in the next stage of the competition.
During the first-half of extra-time, a supporter in attendance at The Northolme hijacked the broadcast sending an explicit message. The supporter was heard over the microphone say: "TNT is s***," prompting Minay to issue an apology for the foul language.
The League Two club took the lead after 29 minutes when Paddy Madden steered home to open the scoring but 14 minutes from time, substitute Sisa Tuntulwana headed home the equaliser. However just five minutes into extra-time, Stanley restored their lead through Charlie Caton.
There were chances to rubberstamp their progression but Madden failed to find the back of the net, blazing his effort over. Gainsborough, who play in the seventh tier of English football, booked their place in the first round for the second time in as many years after stunning higher league opposition in Hartlepool.
But they couldn't manage another cup upset after Caton's extra-time effort proved to be the difference to put them in the hat for Monday's draw. It is a step closer to the third round for Accrington after their dream draw agains the Premier League champions Liverpool , last season.
Previewing the first round tie, manager John Doolan explained how the FA Cup gave him one of the best days in his career and gave him the appetite to taste it again.
"It was unbelievable, you go back to the clip of Josh Woods jumping around his living room," he said. "I remember sitting with my wife, Suzanne, and it has come through, it was surreal.

"Then your phone doesn't stop and in a flash you are thinking, 'oh no we are playing Liverpool at Anfield', and that's when the work starts.
"You go with a plan, but you are playing against a world-class manager and world-class players. It was an unbelievable experience, one of the best experiences I have had in my football career, especially as a manager.
"To have that experience, no one can take that away from you, and we want more of that now. But I am sure Gainsborough will be thinking exactly the same.
"I know the challenge, the mentality of the non-league player, as I have been there myself. The onus is on us to get through, as we are the professional club, and hopefully we can get one of those dream ties again."
