Manchester United were back in training this week after their 2-1 victory at Anfield on Sunday.

Any stars who featured in the starting line-up against Liverpool were not seen in the training pictures, but those who appeared from the bench took part in the session.

Patrick Dorgu, Kobbie Mainoo , Manuel Ugarte and Leny Yoro were all involved, but there was no sign of Benjamin Sesko, who came on for Mason Mount just past the hour mark against Liverpool, in the training images. However, the Slovenian was pictured arriving at Carrington earlier in the day.

Academy prospects Finley McAllister, Victor Musa and Albert Mills were called up to join the session, while Tyrell Malacia pressed on with his potential return to action.

The Netherlands international had pushed for a summer departure from Old Trafford but failed to secure his desired move away.

Malacia was brought back into the fold last month having been training separately from the first team during the summer, with United maintaining it was always their intention to reintegrate him into the squad.

Whether he will ever be named in a United matchday squad again remains unclear.

Malacia has been included in the squad United submitted to the Premier League , with Ruben Amorim commenting: "He is returning with contact with the ball with the Under-21s, then we will see."

United are aiming for a hat-trick of Premier League victories when they square off against Brighton on Saturday. The last time they pulled off such a feat was back in August 2024, when a triumphant start to the season against Fulham followed victories over Newcastle and Brighton at the tail end of the 2023/24 campaign.
