Thomas Frank insisted he "feels the backing" of the Tottenham board as the club enters a new period.

Saturday's trip to West Ham is Spurs' first match since Daniel Levy’s time as executive chairman ended after 24 years.

That decision was made by the younger members of Joe Lewis' family , who have taken an increasingly active role in the running of the club.

Sources close to the family have spoken of wanting "more wins, more often" and there have been suggestions of a cash injection coming into the club to aid those ambitions.

"I’ve spoken to a few from the Lewis family and Peter Charrington , the new non-exec chairman," Frank said.

"I also spoke to him before, of course, he was on the board, so there’s been good, constructive conversations and I feel the backing and they’re happy.”

Asked whether he had been told what the new era at Spurs could look like, Frank said: “I think it’s fair to say things have gone quite quick, so I’m also quite convinced that the next couple of months I will be more aware of what is the future plans.

"Hopefully, we will make them together. I think that’s the best way to do it. So, yeah. Everything I sense, I feel and I’ve been told is positivity and backing.”

The Spurs boss admitted he had not been expecting Levy to depart and paid tribute to his 24-year tenure, praising the former chairman's role in moving the club into a "world-class" stadium and training facilities.

However, Frank suggested life at Spurs had not felt any different since Levy's exit, describing it as "business as usual."

“It happened Thursday, I was back on the training ground on Monday, and then we had four trainings," Frank said.

“It was not that Daniel was out there on the training pitch or in the meeting rooms. It is basically business as usual for me, because the transfer window closed when there was a lot of interaction.

“I don’t think it has changed too much for me personally so far so maybe it is too early to ask about that.

“But of course there are people who have worked with Daniel for so much longer, which it is most likely more different for them."
