The longest scoring runs in Premier League history

Liverpool kept their long scoring run alive with a dramatic 1-0 win at Burnley on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah’s 95th-minute penalty decided the game at Turf Moor, as the Premier League champions snatched the points.

Salah’s strike from the spot extended Liverpool’s club-record run to 38 top-flight games in which they’ve scored.

The Reds last failed to score in a Premier League game exactly one year ago, following a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at Anfield on September 14th 2024.

Just two teams have had a longer scoring run in Premier League history and Liverpool can level second-placed Tottenham Hotspur next weekend. If Arne Slot’s side score against Everton in the Merseyside Derby on Saturday, they will match Tottenham’s 39-game run achieved between March 2023 and March 2024.

However, the Reds still have some distance to catch the all-time divisional record. Arsenal hold the record, having scored in a staggering 55 consecutive top-flight games.

After a goalless draw with Newcastle in May 2001, the Gunners next failed to score in a 2-0 defeat at Manchester United in December 2002. Their run included a goal scored in every game of the club’s 2001/02 league title success under Arsene Wenger.
