Spurs want to sign the 25-year-old and last week made an approach which triggered the £60million release clause in the midfielder's contract. However, Forest are claiming that an illegal approach was made and believe the confidential nature of that clause was breached with claims that Tottenham submitted a bid worth the exact amount required to trigger it. Whether or not the transfer will now happen is currently unclear, with the player reporting for pre-season training this week. Both Spurs and the player still want the transfer to happen but the move is now ensnared in legal matters between the two clubs. The Forest squad are set to fly to Portugal for a pre-season training camp on Monday and Gibbs White is reportedly keen for the situation to be resolved by then. In the meantime, Frank was asked about the interest at a press conference at Hotspur Way on Friday. Frank, previewing the pre-season friendly with Reading on Saturday, did not give too much away. He said: "You know me well so I will use what I've always said is that I won't speak about players from outside the club." Frank was also asked about Son Heung-min , who has entered the final 11 months of his contract, as well as vice-captain Cristian Romero , who has been linked with a move to La Liga. On the duo, the Dane said: "Two top players, Sonny has been here for 10 years and finally got his well deserved trophy in the summer. "Cristian Romero, World Cup winner, Copa America winner twice, very important for us. Both have trained well and set the standards. Both will play tomorrow and I'm very happy."
