Spurs on brink of completing Xavi Simons deal with fee agreed and medical DONE

TOTTENHAM are on the brink of signing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig in a £52million deal.

The Dutchman, 22, has agreed personal terms with the North Londoners and undergone a medical at Hotspur Way.

Chelsea spent much of the summer chasing the highly-rated attacking midfielder.

But per The Athletic , Spurs have swooped in to seal a deal, with only the final details with RB Leipzig left to tie up.

Simons was yesterday granted permission by his club to travel to London.

Tottenham then accelerated their interest, aggressively pursuing a deal in order to beat Chelsea to Simons' signature.
