Salah dropped after repeated poor performances
Salah has finally been dropped from the Liverpool lineup after a series a poor performances for Liverpool in the 2025-26 campaign. Since the start of the new season, the Egyptian goal machine has scored only three goals across all competitions and provided as many assists. The loss against United at Anfield after nine years last Sunday was the final straw for Slot, who took the tough call of keeping Salah on the bench in a crucial Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Ekitike returned to the lineup, replacing Salah in the attack, while another underperforming star Florian Wirtz also made it to the team. Stars like Jeremie Frimpong and Andy Robertson were also included in the playing eleven.
