Revealed: Only THREE Premier League stars make FIFPRO World XI as Paris Saint-Germain players feature heavily

The 2025 FIFPRO men's team has been revealed and its Premier League representation is down from last year.

This year's XI, which is formed from over 20,000 professional men's footballers voting from 68 countries, includes three players from the English top-flight, two less than 12 months ago.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is the only Premier League player to keep his place in the side - forming part of a three-man defence.

Van Dijk is joined by Chelsea talisman Cole Palmer and Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma - although it must be noted the latter's feats would have largely consisted of his success at Paris Saint-Germain last season.

In front of Donnarumma and partnering Van Dijk in defence are PSG full-backs Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes .

Another PSG star makes the line-up too as Vitinha is in midfield alongside Palmer. There is another England star in the engine room in Real Madrid 's Jude Bellingham too with Barcelona 's Pedri completing the quartet.

The front line is a formidable trio in PSG's Ousmane Dembele, Real's Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal.

At just 18-years-old, Yamal makes history as the youngest-ever player selected for the FIFPRO Men's World XI. The teenage sensation breaks Mbappe's previous record from 2018, when the French forward made the team aged 19.

Unsurprisingly, the starting XI is largely populated by PSG players after the club finally won the Champions League last season.

The 2024 FIFPRO team had a lot of Real Madrid players after their Champions League success but there was a mix of Premier League stardust too in Ederson (then Manchester City), Van Dijk, Kevin De Bruyne (then Manchester City), Rodri (Manchester City) and Erling Haaland.

Since its inception in 2005, FIFPRO's World 11 has been the only global football award decided entirely by professional players.
