Real Madrid will recover four players in time to face Barcelona in El Clasico
Following their 1-0 win over Juventus last night in the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid will shift their focus back to La Liga , where they will take on arch-rivals FC Barcelona on Sunday.
Ahead of the first El Clasico of the Xabi Alonso era, the manager has been sweating over the availability of some key players dealing with fitness problems.
But it appears that there is good news on that front for Alonso and Real Madrid as they gear up for the blockbuster clash against Hansi Flick’s men.
Indeed, according to journalist Sergio Quirante , Real Madrid are set to recover four players from the infirmary in time to face Barcelona on Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Dani Carvajal, Dani Ceballos , Dean Huijsen , and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all set to be fit and available to for the Clasico , although ultimately, it will be up to manager Alonso to decide whether or not to involve them in the big game.

Trent has already completed a couple of training sessions with the group and was even expected to be included in the squad against Juventus , but Alonso decided not to do so. His return to the roster for the Clasico , however, seems very much certain.
Carvajal, too, began training with the group this week and given his motivation to face Barcelona, the Real Madrid captain, who has recovered from a calf injury sustained in the derby, looks set to be available.
As for Huijsen and Ceballos, both have been dealing with minor muscle problems, and if everything goes according to plan, should be ready in time for the big game.
It would mean that Real Madrid will only have two player absent for the Clasico – Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba, who is likely to return next week as he struggles with a muscle strain.
