Real Madrid forward feels disrespected and could seriously consider exit in 2026 if things don’t change

A fresh report from AS journalist Marco Ruiz has revealed growing tension at Real Madrid , as Vinicius Jr. is seriously considering his future at the club following his controversial substitution during the recent El Clasico.

While the initial frustration may have cooled, those close to the player suggest that the Brazilian’s feelings run deeper as he believes his status within the team is no longer being respected.

Vinicius was visibly angry when manager Xabi Alonso decided to substitute him in the 72nd minute of Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Barcelona.

Although the club is backing Alonso , the aftermath has left cracks inside the dressing room.

According to Ruiz, Vinicius feels undervalued and misunderstood, convinced that Alonso “does not like him,” and that the relationship between them has become increasingly strained.

Sources close to the player describe a growing sense of frustration and disappointment.

Vinicius feels that he has made every effort to adapt to Alonso’s tactical demands, believing it would strengthen his standing under the new manager.

Yet, in his eyes, those sacrifices have gone unrecognised, leaving him feeling marginalised despite his key contributions in recent seasons.

Inside the club, however, there is deep dissatisfaction with Vinicius’s conduct. His reaction during the substitution has not gone down well with the hierarchy.

At the same time, Vinicius’ internal conflict continues to grow. While he remains committed to Real Madrid and is keen to honour his contract, the winger is beginning to question whether staying under Alonso is sustainable.

He reportedly feels that Kylian Mbappe receives more trust and freedom from the manager, and that he has been unfairly singled out in several key moments.

According to the outlet, Vinicius has conveyed that if Alonso remains in charge beyond next summer and the current dynamic does not change, he will seriously consider leaving.

It is not a decision he wants to make because he loves Real Madrid , the fans, and the club’s legacy but he does not want to spend his prime years feeling unappreciated.
