But Fifa have announced a major shake-up which will result in a dramatic change to the Premier League schedule.
Fifa released the following statement: "After consultation with the relevant stakeholders, FIFA publishes the International Match Calendar (IMC) for the period of four or eight years.
"FIFA’s objective in this process is to make a football calendar that is “fit-for-purpose” for modern needs, contributing for the improvement of the quality of players, clubs and national teams and giving both incentive and opportunity for the detection and development of talent outside a small number of countries."
Next term there will only be three international breaks during the season, but one will be substantially longer than fans are used to.
The September and October international breaks will be merged into one break, which will see the Premier League have two consecutive weekends without a match.
During this break, England are set to play FOUR international fixtures.
The two-match November break will carry on as normal with one the Premier League pausing for one weekend, as will the March break.
The new calendar comes into place after the 2026 World Cup .
The Three Lions need to win only one more match to officially qualify for this summer's competition in the US, Mexico and Canada.
Thomas Tuchel's men destroyed Serbia away on Tuesday with a 5-0 win.
That means that a victory in Latvia on October 14 will seal England 's place in the tournament.
