Anderson, 22, received his first ever senior call-up from the Three Lions' boss Thomas Tuchel for today's match and the next one at Serbia on Tuesday.
According to the BBC , the midfielder will get the nod by Tuchel to show what he can do ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
The same source claims the ex-England Under-21 international will be part of a new-look midfield under the German tactician.
Thus, Anderson may partner up with Arsenal stars Declan Rice and Eberechi Eze.
The same source adds Newcastle's Dan Burn will partner up with Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi at centre-back.
And Chelsea right-back Reece James as well as Arsenal left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly will cover the flanks at the back.
Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford, who recently joined Barcelona, will play in front of James.
And Lewis-Skelly will be working down the left with new Arsenal team-mate Noni Madueke.
England captain Harry Kane is expected to spearhead Tuchel's attack.
If Tuchel goes for the above starting line-up then that means Anderson won't team up with Forest team-mate Morgan Gibbs-White.
Anderson opted for England after also having the option of joining Scotland.
The central midfielder has Scottish lineage through a Glasgow-born grandmother and from 2018 until 2022, he played for the national youth teams of Scotland.
The Whitley Bay-born star was capped from Under-16 level all the way up to Under-21s.
