Hours later, Iraola was snapped running the line for grassroots youth side Merley FC.

The 43-year-old reportedly picks up a cool £30,000 a week but he's not the flashy type.

And he had a huge smile on his face while in the thick of the action on what the non-profit club described as an "incredible morning" for the players.

Iraola has become loved by locals in the two-and-a-bit years since he was hired by Bournemouth .

His managerial reputation has also gone from strength to strength on the south coast.

The win over Fulham - in which Antoine Semenyo scored twice and Justin Kluivert netted a screamer - left Bournemouth fourth in the Premier League table.

The Cherries have been getting steadily better during Iraola's tenure, finishing 12th in his first season and ninth last term.

The boss was dealt a tough hand when Bournemouth sold three of their starting back-four, plus a host of other players, during the summer.

But Iraola has them flying again.

And his kind gesture to support girls' grassroots football has only cemented his standing as the man who can do no wrong.

Kluivert told Sky Sports after Friday's win: "[Iraola] is incredible.

"If you also see the guys that have left the team, how we are doing at the moment is incredible.

"I always say that the driver of the bus is the coach, and he is driving us on a crazy route. Amazing driver, so we follow him. We love it and that shows in the table."
