The Premier League weekend kicks off with a west London derby as Chelsea host Fulham before a 3pm cluster featuring Tottenham at home to Bournemouth and Manchester United under mounting pressure against Burnley . Leeds then welcome Newcastle in Saturday’s late game, with Eddie Howe’s side still searching for a first win and the hosts desperate to banish memories of last week’s thrashing.
Sunday brings Brighton ’s free-flowing football up against Manchester City and Nottingham Forest hosting West Ham, but all eyes will be on Anfield at 4.30pm as champions Liverpool collide with Arsenal in a clash that already feels like a marker in the title race.
Daily Mail Sport's James Sharpe is the third expert for you to try to beat in our Predictor game after Kieran Gill's effort last weekend.
'Liverpool‘s host of thrilling attacking signings has taken them away from the balance and control so crucial to their title win last season, returned more of the chaos of the Jurgen Klopp era, and left them with serious defensive issues Arne Slot is yet to solve, ones that Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze can expose, even in the absence of Bukayo Saka.
'I fancy Arsenal to get a result at Anfield and put down a real early marker of their title credentials.
'Thank goodness for Ruben Amorim that Manchester United have got Burnley at home after their defeat on penalties at League Two Grimsby.
'Nothing is a gimme for United these days and this screams of another banana skin more than anything but I’m still backing them to win. More fool me, I suppose.
'Anyone can beat West Ham these days but the way Chelsea moved the ball to slice open Graham Potter’s side and stick five past them — even without talisman Cole Palmer — showed a team now comfortable in its own talented skin.
'Joao Pedro linked everything beautifully, teenage winger Estevao looked a star and they should have too much for a Fulham side that’s barely signed anyone and has speculation over the future of its manager.
'Elsewhere, Tottenham look the real deal under Thomas Frank and should beat Bournemouth while I’m backing Man City to bounce back at Brighton.
'The signing of Mateus Fernandes will come too late for him to transform a truly dreadful Hammers side by the time they head to Forest and the chaos around Alexander Isak saga means I fancy Leeds to get a point on home soil.
