Manchester United could soon face a defining decision in the development of one of their brightest young talents. The Italian side are keen to bring him in on loan “as early as the January transfer window to give him more playing time and continue his development in a competitive environment”.

United supporters will wonder whether letting such a precocious midfielder depart, even temporarily, could risk slowing his breakthrough at Old Trafford.
