Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard was forced off with an injury during the first half against West Ham , handing the Gunners another fitness headache heading into the international break.

It is potentially the third injury Odegaard has sustained in the opening months of the season, in what will be a significant concern for Mikel Arteta.

Odegaard appeared to hurt his left knee, and required significant medical attention. The player tried to play on, but eventually succumbed to the pain and was replaced by Martin Zubimendi with half an hour played.

The club captain has now been taken off injured in the first half of every on of Arsenal's home league games this season.
