Manchester United Have Set Their Sights On This Chelsea Midfielder: Should Amorim Go For Him?
In a recent report , journalist Pete O’Rourke claimed that Manchester United have set their sights on Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos . It is believed that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to bring the Brazilian talent to Old Trafford next year.
Santos has served as a useful player in Chelsea’s squad but has struggled to earn regular first-team starts for the Blues in the Premier League. The 21-year-old has scored one goal and secured a couple of assists in 11 appearances for the West London club this season across various competitions.
The Brazilian sensation has caught the eye at times with his performances at the heart of Enzo Maresca’s midfield. Hence, it is no surprise that Man United are showing interest in recruiting him next year.
Santos is under contract at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to land him on a cut-price deal in 2026.

Santos loves a tackle and usually works hard for his team defensively at the centre of the park. He can strike the ball with venom from long range and has got the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates up top.
The Brazilian sensation is full of energy and running in the middle of the field and can even chip in by scoring the odd goal for his team. He is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also fill in as a defensive midfielder if asked to do so by his manager.
Santos would add more quality and depth to Man United boss Ruben Amorim’s midfield. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting spot at the Mancunian club. The Brazilian midfield ace might even help the Red Devils challenge for a major trophy in the future.
At 21, the future looks quite bright for Santos as long as he continues to improve with each year. Therefore, Amorim should focus on going for a player of his potential this January or at the end of this campaign. However, the Red Devils would have to be patient with his development before they can get the best out of Santos.
