Manchester United have accepted aloan offer from Turkish side Trabzonspor to sign goalkeeper Andre Onana .
United’s problems in goals have continued in to the new 2025-06 season with both Altay Bayindir and Onana enduring calamatious starts to the new campaign.
Bayindir has been Ruben Amorim’s preferred no1 but was at fault for goals against Arsenal and Burnley, also looking unconvincing away to Fulham.
Onana started his first game of the season in the Carabao Cup clash away to Grimsby Town – another horror show performance were he was at fault again.
It sparked United into action in the final days of the summer transfer window, signing Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp in an £18million deal.
It leaves United with four senior goalkeepers at Amorim’s disposal with veteran Tom Heaton also still part of the group.
While the English transfer window closed on Monday, clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia can still do business with United prepared to let either Bayindir or Onana leave.
Trabzonspor are looking for a replacement for Ugurcan Cakir, who they sold to Galatasaray last week, and have also expressed interest in Manchester City’s Stefan Ortega.
The club were reported to have made an initial loan offer to sign Onana this week with journalist Turkish outlet Takvim reporting an improved offer has made for the Cameroon international.
