Man Utd 'left with no laundry facilities at £50m new training ground'
MANCHESTER UNITED have spent £50million on upgrading their training ground – but didn’t include a laundry facility.
The new state-of-the-art building at Carrington opened in August and was designed to modernise the club’s training operations.

But despite the big investment , United are still outsourcing their laundry services.
It means the club’s kits are being cleaned off-site rather than in-house, as has been the case in recent years.
The decision has raised some eyebrows among fans, especially considering the scale of the upgrade.
Laundry facilities have long been part of the club’s history , dating back to more traditional times.
In 1999, former kit man Albert Morgan recalled taking the Treble-winning trophies back to the laundry room at the old Cliff training ground after the parade.
That old laundry room was once at the heart of daily life at the club.
But as times changed, United began using external laundry services instead of doing it in-house.
And even with the club’s new multi-million-pound facility, that arrangement remains in place.
Some staff were surprised the club didn’t bring laundry services back under one roof, especially with the space and budget available.
There’s no suggestion that the current system is causing any major problems.
The club hasn't commented publicly on the decision.

Back then, a club statement read: "We are extremely particular about our kit.
"How it's prepared is important to the players. It has to be soft, comfortable, scratch-free.
"That means we go the extra mile in making our laundry cleaning best in class.
"We have put our hygiene partner Ecolab to the task. Now, our laundry room is set up with a digital system that monitors every wash cycle.
"We track the quality and quantity of water we use. We wash at a low temperature with Ecolab’s SoftGuard delicate solutions, to protect our colours and the environment."
The £50m refit at Carrington is not quite finished however.
The club’s academy stars in the Under 21s and Under 18s are facing several more months of upheaval.
They will be housed in temporary cabins on the players’ car park at their South Manchester HQ for the foreseeable future.
