Man Utd can add three players to their strongest team vs Sunderland

Ruben Amorim is facing one of the most crucial matches of his managerial career as Manchester United prepare to take on Sunderland this weekend. The week has been a tough one for Amorim, who has faced significant criticism following United's 3-1 loss to struggling Brentford.
For the first time this season, the Portuguese manager's position at Old Trafford is under serious threat, although it's understood from our colleagues at the Manchester Evening News that United are not currently considering a change in management.
However, the club's stance could quickly shift if newly-promoted Sunderland manage to beat United this weekend. Luckily for Amorim, he will have three players available for Sunderland's visit who were absent for the previous match.
Firstly, there's Amad . The Ivorian unfortunately missed the Brentford match due to a bereavement.
Amad has since returned to Carrington and resumed training with the first-team squad. It's anticipated that the 23-year-old, who has played as a right wing-back and No.10 this season, will be back in the starting line-up against the Black Cats .
The match holds particular significance for Amad due to his successful loan spell at the Stadium of Light, which led to his promotion to United's first team. He can expect a warm welcome from the away fans on Saturday.
Casemiro is also back in contention for selection this weekend after serving his one-match ban following a red card in the victory over Chelsea . The Brazilian was dismissed for a second bookable offence.
Having served his suspension, Amorim might be tempted to field him in the centre against Sunderland, possibly replacing either Bruno Fernandes or Manuel Ugarte. Another fresh option for Amorim is Tyrell Malacia .
Eyebrows were raised earlier this week when the Dutchman was brought back into the first-team squad by Amorim, despite being the only player deemed surplus to requirements who didn't leave Old Trafford this summer. His lack of pre-season training will almost certainly mean he won't start against Sunderland, but there's a good chance he could make the bench for the Reds this weekend.
Amorim will be hoping that the increased options in his squad will fuel competition and, consequently, yield a positive result on Saturday.
