But he seemingly took up a new sideline this week.

That's after Scholes, 50, was spotted serving stunned patrons at The Castle Hotel in Manchester 's Northern Quarter

In a clip that soon went viral on social media, the Red Devils legend also had a puzzled look on his face as he began pulling a pint.

He then interacted with a punter sitting at the bar before looking at the other beers on tap.

Fans were stunned at the sight of the unlikely barman.

One reacted saying: "Pull Scholes."

A second went with: "Pour Scholes."

Another joked: "United need to pay their players better."

While one added: "Pulling the levers even in retirement."

Earlier this month Scholes took part in an hour-long five-a-side game with fans on the rooftop pitch at Hotel Football in Manchester.

Supporters paid nearly £770 for the pleasure.

Hotel Football is owned by Scholes’ former United team-mates Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs .

Tickets for the game cost £750 plus an £18.75 service fee, and sold out, with fans also getting a selfie and autograph from the United legend.
