Man United's Champions League odds after beating Brighton in the Premier League

Is it too early? Perhaps. Are we going to discuss it? You bet. Manchester United are closing in on the top four on the right side of Christmas as Ruben Amorim's men finally show they are clicking.

Long gone are the woes of losing in the Carabao Cup to Grimsby Town with Amorim aimlessly tinkering on his tactics board as the Red Devils now find themselves 2/1 with Betfred to secure a top four finish at the end of the season and return to the Champions League stage. It is their first season in 11 years that United are not in any European competition after they finished 15th - their lowest finish in the Premier League era and worst since the 1973/74 season where they were relegated.

Now it seems to have finally clicked at Old Trafford with Amorim's style of play taking into affect, two weeks ago we discussed how United's attack is showing its threat and prowess ahead of the Liverpool match - which the Red Devils won - before holding onto their lead at home against a resilient Brighton side.

Their next run of games in November will not be easy matches either as Sean Dyche's Nottingham Forest look to make a stance after a faltering period under Ange Postecoglou. A trip to the City Ground has not gone down in recent years and have only picked up one win in their last three trips while Forest secured a league double over United last season.

After that it is Tottenham who have showed immediate improvement under Thomas Frank as the two sides sit just a point between one another after last weekend's results while they have a match against Everton before travelling down to the capital to face FA Cup winners Crystal Palace.
