Man City to Offer Rodri Lucrative 2029 Deal After Ballon d'Or Win

Manchester City are set to offer new long-term contract to Rodri as the club look to tie down the midfielder until 2029.

The Citizens have agreed a contract in principle with teammate Ruben Dias and are now working on a proposal to secure Rodri’s future.

The 29-year-old has recently returned from an ACL injury that decimated his 2024/25 campaign, after what had been a career-best 12 months for the midfielder.

Rodri was named winner of the Ballon d’Or in 2024, after winning the Premier League title with City and leading Spain to European Championship success.

City now want to reward Rodri with a new deal and Fabrizio Romano is reporting that a proposal is imminent.

The contract offered will run until 2029 and will make the Spaniard the second-highest paid player at the Etihad, after Erling Haaland.
