After plenty of speculation, Liverpool finally agreed on a £65.5million deal for Diaz to make the move to Bayern. Diaz had been instrumental in securing the Premier League title for the Reds last season before deciding to join a new club.
Liverpool first signed Diaz from Porto in January 2022 who went on to spend three-and-a-half years at Anfield, winning four major trophies along the way. Diaz scored 41 goals across 148 appearances for the Reds before deciding to make the move to Germany in the summer.

Diaz's first goal came just 14 seconds into the match, while his second was scored in the 84th minute. Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane also found the back of the net for Bayern against Frankfurt.
Following the match, Diaz took to Instagram to share a message after playing a pivotal role in Bayern's victory, reports the Liverpool Echo .
The ex-Liverpool ace shared a photo of himself celebrating a goal, originally posted by Bayern's official account, along with a caption featuring a lightning bolt and a red love heart.
Diaz's double for Bayern coincided with Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League, marking their third consecutive loss in all competitions after previous defeats to Crystal Palace and Galatasaray.
