Liverpool Smash Transfer Record in Guehi Chase
The weather might be (mercifully) cooling down today but the summer transfer window is well and truly heating up.
Liverpool have already smashed the British transfer record and more big deals are in the pipeline. They are stepping up their pursuit of Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi, with Jarell Quansah having now left Anfield.
Arsenal could also be big spenders over the coming weeks. Viktor Gyokeres is their main target, while Martin Zubimendi appears to be waiting in the wings ahead of signing for the side.
Manchester United are also chasing a striker but it seemingly won't be Gyokeres leading the line at Old Trafford. They're said to be keen on Ollie Watkins and the PSG midfielder, Fabian Ruiz.
Meanwhile, the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham are also expected to push for big incomings between now and the end of August.

DONE DEAL: Chelsea sign Pedro
And here we are... Chelsea have a new striker having sealed a deal for Joao Pedro from Brighton.
The Brazilian has already flown out to the USA to join his new teammates in the Blues' World Cup squad.
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has explained the move. “This is a good move for all parties," he said. "It’s an excellent deal for the club, and a good return on a significant investment in an area of the pitch where we have a lot of competition and are already well served in terms of our attacking talent.
“It’s also an exciting move for Joao: it gives him the opportunity to play Champions League football this coming season, and he will of course be keen to cement his position in the Brazil team ahead of the World Cup next summer.
“Joao has given us some wonderful moments – during my time and before I came to the club – so on behalf of everyone I would like to thank him for his service over the past two seasons and wish him the best for the future.”

Man Utd new boy lays down marker
Diego Leon, the club's newest signing, is eager to make a name for himself in pre-season - and has no interest in going out on loan as he underlined his confidence that he can cement a spot in Amorim's squad for the upcoming season.
The teenage left-back signed for United in the January transfer window but due to his age, was unable to join his new club until the summer. The MEN state that there's still no concrete plan regarding Leon's role in the first team for this season however.
"I'm really happy, I think every player dreams of this," the young defender said to Paraguayan press. "When you're a professional, you have to adapt quickly, it is a massive opportunity. Everyone thinks I'll go out on loan, but I don't have that mindset. I'm going to kill it in pre-season and within one or two games, I'll already be playing with them."

"To my teammates, thank you for welcoming me, pushing me, and believing in me. I’ve learned so much from sharing the pitch and dressing room with such amazing people and will never forget the incredible memories we’ve had.
"To the staff, the coaches, and everyone behind the scenes, your belief and dedication have always been a constant source of motivation. You have helped me grow not only as a footballer, but as a person as well.
"And to the fans, your support has always been unmatched. Whether at Anfield or away from home, hearing you sing never failed to inspire me. I will carry that with me wherever I go."

Man Utd's Mbeumo timeline
Man United continue to negotiate with Brentford over the transfer of Bryan Mbeumo but are confident they can reach an agreement but the end of the week after seeing two bids rejected.
The Red Devils have made the Bees forward their top target at present as they eye their second summer arrival. Mbeumo has just enjoyed his best season yet, scoring 20 times, and Ruben Amorim believes he can perfectly suit the system he's trying to implement. United will go back in with a third bid after their latest in the region of £60m was rejected.
The Daily Mail now reports that the Red Devils will table an offer of £65m which they believe will hit Brentford's valuation of the player and complete the deal. Those in the capital have already begun making plans for Mbeumo's departure.
