New Leagues Cup format for 2025

The 2025 Leagues Cup qualifying phase will be played from July 29 to August 7. Each team will face three rivals from the opposing league and at the end a total of eight teams will qualify, four from Liga MX and four from MLS , which guarantees that in the quarterfinals there will be direct confrontations with rivals from each tournament

On this occasion, the local competitions will not stop as the qualifiers will be played in a staggered manner. On August 19 and 20, the quarter-finals will be played. Then, the semi-finals will be held on August 26 and 27. Finally, the final and the third-place match will be played on August 31
