Jurgen Klopp has lauded Oliver Glasner's achievements at Crystal Palace , with the Austrian being touted as a potential successor to Ruben Amorim at Manchester United . Amorim has faced mounting criticism lately, with United securing only two victories in their initial six Premier League matches.

Despite a 2-1 win over Chelsea sparking hopes of gaining momentum, United were left reeling after a 3-1 loss to Brentford. This latest setback saw United slump to 14th place and marked Amorim's 17th league defeat in just 33 games.

In contrast, Crystal Palace is flying high in third position, having not lost a single top-flight match this season.

It is believed that Amorim still enjoys the support of United's hierarchy, with insiders at the club suggesting they're not currently scouting for replacements.

Nevertheless, Glasner, aged 51, has become the bookies' top pick to take over from Amorim.

Klopp , the ex-Liverpool manager, has been impressed by Glasner's performance at Selhurst Park, where the former Eintracht Frankfurt boss has led the Eagles to FA Cup and Community Shield victories.

The German heaped praise on Glasner's tenure at Selhurst Park. "Wow, they are doing miracles," Klopp expressed to The Athletic .

Under Glasner's leadership, Palace recently handed Liverpool their first defeat of the season.

Klopp said: "A lot of things change. I don't have an opinion about that, really. The football I watch is mainly Red Bull teams.

"Do I sit there and say, 'What is football? How is it developing right now?' That's not really what I'm doing."

When quizzed by the Austrian press on the rumours connecting him to United, Glasner told Kicker: "I follow all the rumours – and that's all there is – neutrally and completely relaxed.

"Focusing on the daily work with my players and coaches, and trying to enjoy it as much as possible."
