In 2006, she told The Sun : "Everyone else seemed to look amazing, but I hated all the pictures I saw of me. "All my family are West Ham fans and I was there for three years when I was a youngster," he said. "I was in a group with players like Paul Koncheski, who is at Charlton, Brighton's Bobby Zamora and Joe Cole.

"It was going well, but then our coach changed and no one really enjoyed it after that. I then had spells at Arsenal and Manchester United before coming to Chelsea. I am expecting a lot of stick from my family and friends after scoring that goal."

He continued: "When I fell into the crowd behind the goal in the first half I am sure some of my family were sitting a few rows back. I could hear them giving me grief then."
