Jamie Carragher has launched a scathing verdict of new Chelsea signing Alejandro Garnacho . The Argentine international was the 10th summer signing for Chelsea - with Facundo Buonanotte Blues following suit before Monday night's deadline.
With Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap and Estevao also on board, Enzo Maresca has a revamped attack for the 2025/26 season.
Garnacho was spotted at Stamford Bridge over the weekend, taking in the Blues' 2-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday lunchtime, having arrived in London late last week to finalise the deal.
And when asked if he will be a hit or miss at Chelsea, former Liverpool centre-back Carragher launched a rant over Garnacho's behaviour in the stands at Saturday's game.
“I’m not a fan of Garnacho," he told Sky Sports . "Do you know what I didn’t like? Did you see the game yesterday, when they cut to the crowd and they were on their phones when the game is on.
"It’s not just him, lots of people do it. I can’t stand it. A miss for that, being on his phone when the game is on.”
After his move to Chelsea from Manchester was announced on Saturday, Garnacho said: "It's an incredible moment for my family and I join this great club.
"I can't wait to get started. I watched the Club World Cup and to join the world champions is special - we're the best team in the world! It's amazing to be here and I'm very happy."
Garnacho leaves United having scored 26 goals in 144 senior appearances for the Red Devils. He is set to make his Chelsea debut after the international break away at Brentford before coming up against his former team at Old Trafford a week later.
