Jadon Sancho loan update will not please United
Manchester United are all set to lose in-form Bryan Mbeumo and Amad in the winter, as the duo, along with Noussair Mazraoui , are set to depart to take part in the African Cup of Nations.
The Cameroonian and Ivorian have struck up a formidable partnership , something Ruben Amorim will miss big time once the two leave.
The head coach will be short on quality on the right, with Joshua Zirkzee, Kobbie Mainoo and even academy wonderkid Shea Lacey seen as potential options to step up.
Interestingly, Jadon Sancho , currently out on loan at Aston Villa, was rumoured to be an option to return to Old Trafford in January to boost numbers.
However, The Daily Mail have claimed that United’s loan arrangement with the Birmingham side does not contain a break clause, which makes it unlikely United can call him back.
“Jadon Sancho will NOT return to Manchester United before the end of the season, Confidential can reveal – because his loan deal at Aston Villa does not have a break clause in January.
“Given his limited opportunities, it has raised the question of whether he could wind up back at Old Trafford.
“United may actually need a right-sided replacement when Bryan Mbeumo , Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui go to the Africa Cup of Nations for up to a month in December and January.
“But the lack of a break clause means Sancho will stay at Villa Park until his United contract runs out in the summer – though the club have an option to extend his deal by another 12 months, to avoid losing him for nothing next June.”
However, as per Villa News , Unai Emery is far from pleased with the United loanee, and Villa are contemplating ending his loan early.
The Englishman is yet to start a single game this season, while he was subbed on and then taken off in the same game at the weekend.
“I think it could be a possibility (Sancho’s loan being cancelled), if he doesn’t break through or produce the kind of form that Villa are expecting him to,” King said.
“He’s become a bit wayward in the way that his football life is. Everywhere he’s gone and everything that he’s done, he hasn’t fulfilled the promise or the money that’s been paid for him.”
Villa are paying the majority of Sancho’s wages, and INEOS will hope it does not come to this. Amorim cannot afford to ruin the squad harmony he has worked so hard to build up to get ruined due to one bad call.
