Jack Moorhouse impresses again with crucial assist on loan

The Irish youngster had an impressive outing for Leyton Orient in a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa Under-21s in the EFL trophy.

He grabbed the all-important assist for his side’s only goal of the game.

Moorhouse picked the ball up in midfield, turned into space and played the ball behind into Diallang Jaiyesimi who made no mistake and curled a fine effort into the back of the net.

The youngster completed 85% of his passes and he had a total of three shots.

One of those efforts was on target and two more were blocked by the Villans’ defence.

Moorhouse won five ground duels and also came out on top in his only aerial battle of the contest.

He could well next be in action when Leyton Orient travel to face Tamworth on Monday evening in the first round of the FA Cup.

The United midfielder was in action for Rotherham United against Manchester City’s Under-21s in the same competition.

He came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute of play.

With the score as 2-2, he was on the pitch as his side grabbed two more goals to consolidate the win.

Gore made 73% of his passing attempts and completed one dribble attempt.

He did not make any clearances or interceptions but did come out on top in five ground duels .

The young midfielder will next be in action when Rotherham welcome Swindon Town on Saturday afternoon in the first round of the FA Cup.
