Manchester United return to Premier League action against Fulham , looking to bounce back from defeat to Arsenal on the opening weekend of the season.

There was plenty of improvement in United last Sunday at Old Trafford but another goalkeeping calamity was their undoing with Riccardo Calafiori scoring the winner after Altay Bayindir ’s error.

Bayindir was named in goal despite Andre Onana being fit again after his pre-season hamstring injury. Whether the Cameroon international returns in goal for the trip to Craven Cottage will be Ruben Amorim’s biggest dilemma heading into the weekend.

Amorim suggested Bayindir was preferred in goal against Arsenal because of his pre-season performances – his showing against Arsenal might change that.

Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha enjoyed impressive debuts and will surely keep their places in the starting XI. Mason Mount also had a good day at the office alongside the new duo in an advanced role but with another full week of training under his belt, Benjamin Sesko could be unleashed in a starting role.

The Slovenia international came off the bench in the second-half against Arsenal, an unassuming debut but one where he still created two chances.

Amad Diallo was also a bright spark having replaced Diogo Dalot in the second-half, offering a more attacking outlet down the right. It’s an option to consider on Sunday in the capital.

Despite the defeat to Arsenal, United’s defence did very little wrong against Arsenal with Matthjis de Ligt having a superb game in the heart of that back three, ensuring Viktor Gyokeres had a quiet debut.

While Harry Maguire is ready and available, the Netherlands international could keep his place.

With United lacking a cutting edge against Arsenal, a full debut for Sesko is surely on the cards.

Amorim has a huge decision to make in goal, but the rest of his team could pick itself after a promising afternoon last week.

Fulham vs Man Utd kicks off on Sunday 24 August with kick-off scheduled for 4:30pm.
