Liverpool are heading to Germany this week in a bid to halt a concerning slump of four consecutive defeats in all competitions. What began as a cautiously optimistic season has spiralled into a mini-crisis , with Arne Slot's side desperate to regain their rhythm after a month without a victory.

The Reds have tumbled to third in the Premier League , trailing leaders Arsenal by four points. In the Champions League , last month's defeat to Galatasaray wiped out much of the momentum from their opening victory over Atletico Madrid , leaving them with a lot to do in the group stage.

Their next challenge comes in the form of Eintracht Frankfurt - who have had a similarly mixed start in Europe, with one win and one defeat so far. Here's everything you need to know ahead of the match, including kick-off time and all TV and live stream details.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool is set to take place at Deutsche Bank Park on Wednesday, October 22. The match kicks off at 8pm UK time.

The match will be aired live on TNT Sports 1. Coverage is also available on TNT Sports Ultimate and via Discovery+, starting at 7pm UK time.

Ryan Gravenberch is a significant doubt for the game after being substituted during Sunday's loss to United due to a twisted ankle. The extent of the injury isn't known yet, but the Dutchman is expected to sit out.

Alisson is still out with a hamstring injury and isn't expected to return until the end of the month, giving Giorgi Mamardashvili more chances to shine. Wataru Endo is also a doubt after missing the matchday squad against United.

Summer recruit Giovanni Leoni is out of action, having been sidelined for a year with an ACL injury. Hugo Ekitike , on the other hand, is set to face his old team. The forward came off the bench against United and is thus likely to feature in midweek.

As for Frankfurt, they'll be without right-back Elias Baum due to a hamstring injury. Forward Jessic Ngankam is also out and has been omitted from their Champions League squad.

Meanwhile, former Chelsea and Crystal Palace striker Michy Batshuayi is set to play, as are fellow ex-Premier League stars Robin Koch, Rasmus Kristensen and Mahmoud Dahoud.

Liverpool can take heart from their flawless record against Frankfurt ahead of the tie. The clubs have only met twice before, both times during Liverpool's victorious 1972/73 UEFA Cup campaign.

They clashed in the first round, where the Reds secured a 2-0 victory at Anfield, with Kevin Keegan and Emlyn Hughes netting the goals. They then held Frankfurt to a goalless draw in Germany to ensure progression.

That season, Liverpool triumphed, nudging past defending champions Tottenham in the semi-finals before overcoming Borussia Monchengladbach 3-2 on aggregate in the final, with goals from Keegan and Larry Lloyd.
