Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas nominated for Premier League Hall of Fame induction
Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas have been nominated for inclusion in the Premier League Hall of Fame for 2025 .
Both men made massive contributions to Chelsea’s title-winning runs in the late 2010s and now have the opportunity to join some of their former teammates in Premier League folklore.
Chelsea already boast five players inducted into the Hall of Fame, which was launched in 2021.
Petr Cech, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and John Terry have previously been honoured, with Hazard and Fabregas poised to join this elite company pending public vote and final selection.
Hazard’s legacy at Stamford Bridge is firmly established. He was voted Chelsea’s Player of the Year four times during his seven seasons and won the Premier League Player of the Year award in the 2014/15 campaign.
Fabregas, who played alongside Hazard during Chelsea’s rise to the pinnacle of English football in 2015 and 2017, also commands respect for his outstanding exploits for both Chelsea and Arsenal.
His tally of 111 assists is second only to Ryan Giggs in PL history as he established himself as one of the league’s finest playmakers.
Also nominated for a place in the Hall of Fame this year are Sol Campbell, Michael Carrick, Jermain Defoe, Patrice Evra, Les Ferdinand, Robbie Fowler, Gary Neville, Michael Owen, Teddy Sheringham, David Silva, Yaya Toure, Edwin van der Sar and Nemanja Vidic.
Fans can vote for the nominees until next Monday, after which a final decision is made by the existing 24 Hall of Fame members.
The Hall of Fame induction, which the Premier League regards as its highest individual honour, will be announced at a special event on November 4.
