Chelsea star Moises Caicedo has released an explosive statement revealing that he is no longer represented by former agent Manuel Sierra.
On Instagram, an announcement read: "Chelsea Football Club star Moises Caicedo has separated from and is no longer represented by his former football agent Manuel Sierra of Football Division Worldwide and he is not represented by Ali Barat of Epic.
"The contract ended on August 14, 2025 and the player has now appointed people he can trust." The final sentence of his statement is certainly intriguing which suggests that a falling out was possible.
Sierra, Caicedo's now former agent, helped negotiate his move to the Blues from Brighton despite confirming Liverpool offered a more stable project. Barat meanwhile, currently represents a number of big names in football recently associated with Chelsea such as Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson.
The understanding was that Caicedo was also under his clientele but the above statement has confirmed that is not the case. The Ecuador international has been brilliant so far this season with two outstanding goals coming alongside his tireless work in midfield.
Caicedo has remained at Cobham over the October international break having been one of the players dealing with a small issue.
“This afternoon we are going to assess Caicedo, Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos," Enzo Maresca revealed in a press conference before the Champions League clash against Benfica in late September.
"They are all players, unfortunately for us, with some small problems. “So, we will see tomorrow if they are going to be available.
"For sure, in this moment, we have injuries, but I think we have enough in the squad to replace the injuries that we have.” Caicedo went on to play 90 minutes in that 1-0 victory and he was able to repeat that a few days later for the huge 2-1 win against Liverpool.
Chelsea will be looking to make it three consecutive victories this weekend when they travel to the City Ground for a Saturday lunchtime match against Nottingham Forest.
Pedro and Caicedo are expected to be fine to feature despite not playing for Brazil or Ecuador, respectively, but there are concerns over Enzo Fernandez after he left Argentina camp.
His nation were due to play Puerto Rico in the early hours of Wednesday morning, however he will now not feature and is back at Cobham with the hope of featuring for Chelsea.
