Barcelona superstar’s recovery ‘on schedule’; timeline set for his return
Barcelona have received a much-needed boost in the form of encouraging news about goalkeeper Joan Garcia’s recovery.
According to a fresh report from MARCA , the 24-year-old shot-stopper is making strong progress from his recent injury setback and could partially rejoin team training in the coming days.
The Catalan goalkeeper had undergone arthroscopic surgery on September 27 to repair a tear in the medial meniscus of his left knee.
At the time, the estimated recovery window was four to six weeks, and encouragingly, Garcia appears to be right on schedule.
The report suggests that his rehabilitation has gone smoothly, and the Barcelona medical team is satisfied with the way his knee is responding to treatment.
Earlier this week, there were optimistic whispers that Garcia might even return for tonight’s Elche clash .
However, the club has chosen to remain cautious by not confirming any specific return date.
What is clear, though, is that Garcia’s return to training, the first major step towards full reintegration, is now imminent.

At present, Garcia continues to train individually, steadily increasing his workload under the supervision of Barcelona’s fitness staff.
The signs are promising as he is reacting to the sessions well and is showing no discomfort.
Yet, while optimism is high inside the dressing room, Hansi Flick is determined not to rush his comeback.
The plan is to ensure Garcia returns only when he’s fully ready, reducing the risk of a recurrence.
There is even talk that the goalkeeper could make the squad for next week’s game against Celta Vigo, though this will depend on how his knee responds to the upcoming training sessions.
Should the staff decide to give him a bit more time, Garcia is expected to be fully available after the international break, most likely for the match against Athletic Bilbao on November 22, the same day Barcelona are expected to return to Spotify Camp Nou .
