Arsenal's next five Premier League fixtures compared to Liverpool after title race twist

Arsenal have enjoyed a perfect Saturday after their Premier League win over West Ham United and the dramatic late scenes in the clash between Chelsea and title rivals Liverpool.

Goals from Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka sealed the 2-0 victory with Mikel Arteta seeing his side stretch their unbeaten run to seven games. Arsenal have also won their last four games in all competitions with only one goal conceded and three clean sheets kept.

The only negative involved Martin Odegaard and Rice, with both players forced off because of injuries.

Following that, all the focus switched onto Stamford Bridge after the gap to leaders Liverpool was closed down to just one point. Arne Slot's side initially fell behind to Chelsea, but fought back only to lose in the final minutes when Estevao Willian slotted home the winner.

Verdict : Arsenal have a mixed bag with regard to fixtures over the coming weeks, but they could feasibly pick up maximum points.

Their first fixture back from the international break comes at Craven Cottage against Fulham. It is often a difficult place to go but back-to-back 3-1 defeats suggest Marco Silva's side are struggling. Arguably the toughest match comes next with Crystal Palace, on a 19-game unbeaten run, as the visitors to Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners then face two newly-promoted teams in Burnley and Sunderland away from home, with wins in both needed if they are to be serious competitors for the title. The November international break is then on the schedule, but Premier League action returns with a North London Derby at home to Tottenham.

Verdict: Liverpool also have some good and challenging games on paper, but their recent form will be a concern. A huge game against Manchester United at Anfield is their first fixture back from the break, with it vital they get back to winning ways after three consecutive defeats.

A trip to Brentford follows that before Aston Villa travel north in search of their first Premier League win away from home this season. Liverpool then take on historic title rivals Manchester City with a repeat of last season's 2-0 win at Etihad Stadium the dream.

Following the November international break, Nottingham Forest are the visitors to Liverpool and they could have a new man in charge by that point with pressure on Ange Postecoglou ramping up.
