Arsenal have had a busy summer transfer window so far - and it appears their business is not done yet.
Mikel Arteta has already welcomed new signings Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard, Christhian Mosquera, Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres into his squad, with attention now turning to the left wing role.
Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze has been most-strongly linked with making the switch to the Emirates Stadium, although rumours surrounding Real Madrid's Rodrygo have also persisted.
The Gunners have been consistently linked with the 24-year-old this summer, with Mikel Arteta reportedly an admirer of the Real Madrid star.
Rodrygo’s place at the Bernabeu has come under pressure following the arrival of new manager Xabi Alonso, who is expected to shake up the squad ahead of the new campaign.
The Brazilian played just 92 minutes across six Club World Cup fixtures his side played in, which only served to amplify speculation surrounding the forward's future in Spain.
Liverpool had also shown strong interest earlier in the window , with both Premier League rivals weighing up moves for the forward. However, according to Spanish outlet AS , both clubs have since shifted their focus.
Even so, a potential move for Rodrygo could be back on the table . In what could prove to be a major decision ahead of a potential move, Madrid are reportedly willing to lower their initial £78 million valuation, making the winger a more accessible target.
Amid all of the noise, the Brazilian’s attitude over the summer hasn’t gone unnoticed. And the Gunners will be encouraged to see Rodrygo maintaining his fitness during the off-season as speculation around the Brazilian’s future continues to swirl.

Whether Real Madrid are truly prepared to part ways with Rodrygo remains to be seen. Alonso’s stance has reportedly shifted throughout the summer, but there are growing signs the club may be willing to sanction a sale.
If they do drop their asking price significantly, Arsenal could find themselves back in contention, particularly with their ongoing search for a new left-winger. And Rodrygo’s proactive efforts this summer might just be the extra push Arteta needs to reignite his interest.
