Arsenal are expected to be active on transfer deadline day with several deals needing to be completed. The bulk of the transfer business has of course been completed when it comes to signings, however the outgoing element of the window remains unfinished.

Andrea Berta, the club’s sporting director, is not thought to have completely shut down the idea of all incoming business, but with the club already tight with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play restrictions, any moves would be challenging. That said, the club have both Premier League loan slots open which following several first team injuries already this season, could prove useful but more likely for the January window.

Reiss Nelson also remains a player expected to try and resolve his future during deadline day although his high wages are understood to have proven troublesome in negotiations over potential moves. Crystal Palace and Fulham are known suitors, but, like last year, a late move will be required to ensure playing time for the player who has two years left on his Arsenal contract.

Oleksandr Zinchenko garnered interest from Marseille but the French side have since progressed on a move for Emerson of West Ham. He, too, has relatively high wages for his position in the current Arsenal setup, and again, this has proven a challenge for potential interested parties to come to terms with.

The Ukrainian could yet stay despite comments in his book regarding Mikel Arteta allegedly losing belief in him. Arteta has used Zinchenko in pre-season, which is a sign that he is willing to use him, and the full-back has plenty of utility, although Hincapie’s expected arrival will only worsen his chances of minutes.

So far, only Ismael Kabia has left the roster of under-21s in the group, the 19-year-old joining Shrewsbury where fellow academy player Charles Sagoe Jr spent time on loan. Kabia will hope to have more success with the League Two side having made a senior appearance for the Gunners last season.

The club could yet still look to get more minutes at senior level for more burgeoning talent, it is an area the club have so far not had too much success with compared to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City. But for yet another season, it appears the Gunners will be active this deadline day.
